Bli Bli's warm, mild Sunshine Coast climate is close to ideal for heat pump hot water — the units pull heat from the surrounding air and run efficiently year-round, using up to around 70% less energy than a standard electric system. That means lower power bills, especially paired with solar.

It depends on the system, the size your household needs and the install. We give you a clear, all-inclusive quote — supply, licensed installation, valves, removal of the old unit and GST — with no hidden extras. Call 1300 728 122 for a fast, free quote.

In most cases, yes. We carry common heat pump systems and parts, so we can often supply and install your replacement the same day across Bli Bli — so you're not left without hot water.

A heat pump hot water system works like a reverse refrigerator: a fan draws in the surrounding air, a refrigerant cycle pulls the heat out of it, and that heat is transferred into your water tank. Because it moves heat rather than making it with an element, it uses only about a third of the electricity of a standard electric system — which is exactly why it suits Bli Bli's warm climate.

For most Bli Bli and Sunshine Coast homes, yes. A heat pump costs more up front than a basic electric system, but it uses up to around 70% less energy, so the lower running costs usually pay back the difference over the life of the system — even more so paired with solar. We'll give you honest advice on whether it's the right fit for your household.

As a rough guide: a 1–3 person home suits a smaller 200L unit, 3–4 people a 250–280L, and 5+ people a 300L or larger system. Your actual usage matters too — call 1300 728 122 and we'll match the right capacity to your Bli Bli household.
