Energy Efficient
With a high Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 4.7^, Dux Ecosmart Pro-Series heat pumps use up to 75% less energy than a standard electric water heater. They absorb free heat energy from the air and use 1kW of electrical energy to create 4kW of heating output. This makes them a great choice for households looking to reduce their energy use particularly when connected to continuous or time-of-use electricity tariffs. They feature premium componentry from some of the major brands in refrigeration technology. This includes a powerful R290 compressor, a low draw EC fan, an Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) & smart controller technology. ^Based on 20ºC ambient air temperature and heating water from 20ºC to 60ºC.
How it Works
The new Dux Pro-Series heat pump features an external copper condenser (heat exchange coil) for efficient water heating, making it more suitable for use in a broad range of water quality areas. Working like a fridge, but in reverse, the heat pump absorbs heat energy from the air outside the tank, and uses this free energy to help heat the water.

Built Tough for Australian Conditions
Polymer materials used on the Dux Pro-Series heat pump are UV stabilised, and feature flame retardant. This ensures the plastic heat pump housing won’t turn brittle or fade in the harsh Australian sun, or even burn if exposed to an ignition source.
Control At Your Fingertips
Pro-Series models include a touch screen, tank mounted controller for scheduling and mode selection of your water heater. These functions enable you to maximise your savings by controlling the heat pump operation. With 1 in 4 Australian homes featuring a PV solar system, you can take advantage of up to 2 timer schedules per day to operate the heat pump when your system is generating excess electricity. And even if you don’t have solar, you can sign up to concessional solar sponge tariffs and time the unit to heat across these periods. This control enables you to heat your water for virtually nothing.
